Our Visit to Restaurant O bolles in Bern
During my visit, I arrived late and my dining companions were already ordering. Because the server immediately told me the options – a meat menu and a meatless one – I could decide right away. I spontaneously ordered the pork chop.
The interior of the restaurant is very simple – guests sit at plain wooden tables. The service is friendly, warm, and uncomplicated.
After ordering, the salad was brought to the table very quickly. The chop didn’t take long either. It had been gently seared, meaning the inside was nicely juicy and not fully cooked through. Pork not being cooked all the way through is no longer an issue these days. For wine, my companion ordered a simple Valais red.
When it came to dessert, the only option was strawberries with vanilla ice cream. And when we wanted to have a limoncello with our coffee, it wasn’t available. I should also mention that we couldn’t order the cocktails listed on the board either, since the server couldn’t mix them. Still, we left the restaurant satisfied.
